The 70's are back, but without the bell bottoms or Bicentennial
 
I don't know what everyone is so worried about.  In a worst case scenario we'll just have another fun Depression filled with cute. pie-stealing hobos riding the rails and nifty gangsters like Al Capone.  Not to mention all the yummy soup from the local soup kitchens and the fun times standing on the corner selling apples.

Capone would be more of a 1920s character. But yeah, hobos would be awesome. And trains. I don't see either of those two enough.

Yeah, but we don't want the regular, filthy hobos. Just the cute, pie-stealing variety. And we get plenty of train action around here already, but a few more couldn't hurt.

Brace yourself for the "Jimmy Carter had that idea too" rebuttal from McBush and talk show cronies on everything having to do with Obama's plans for oil and the economy. I thought of that only because McCain said exactly that in a speech today.
