Freudian slip

So the rumor is that McCain is basically giving up in several states (Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico).  With the electoral college math being what it is, that means he's going to have to somehow peel away one of the bigger states now trending toward Obama, and his target is apparently Pennsylvania.  Obama has a pretty serious lead there, but the rural parts of the state are pretty red, and the talk is he's rolling the dice.  The video below shows him unwittingly revealing the exact reason he thinks this strategy could work, and I think its both telling and hilarious.

Sarah Palin does cover about 30% of his political gaffes, at least with his crowd. The POW thing covers another 30%, with the remainder being chalked up to a mix of minor senior moments and obvious terrorist plots.

currently fivethirtyeight.com insists that there's a 60% or greater chance of obama winning the election after losing Ohio and Florida. Add Pennsylvania to the mix and that drops to two percent. Simultaneously, all Mccain has to do is lose Ohio and he's screwed. But if he turns the numbers around in Pennsylvania, that could change.

McCain definitely has a lot fewer options than Obama. I just worry people will get complacent and not vote.

Obama's in a better position now than Bush was in the last two elections, much better. And all the polling sites I visit have Pennsylvania likely to solid Obama, so there's no worry there. McCain's not running a campaign that will be able to flip them so drastically.

Literally... I mean, that poor woman would require years of therapy, and that's just to deal with the first few horrifying seconds. Once the doctors had helped her uncover the entire repressed memory of the event, there's every chance she'd need to be permanently institutionalized ;)
